"My pastor always says, 'Love ought to look like something.' Therefore food is love and food is medicine." - Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens

After 35 years of dedicated service to the community, Open Hand delivered its 35 millionth meal!

Open Hand was honored to have Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens join us to celebrate this incredible milestone and to pack and deliver this monumental meal. “I’m just playing a small role,” said Mayor Dickens to our packing volunteers, "but the love you're showing today... is going to fill somebody's belly and put a smile on their face."

Over the years, Open Hand has stepped up in the community to become a valuable resource for those most vulnerable: people who are homebound, seniors, and those living with chronic illness.

As we look to the next 35 years of service, we ask that you partner with us and give a gift today to support our work throughout the community.

Everyone deserves love, dignity, and nutrition. Will you join us as we continue to put “smiles on faces and food in bellies" while providing critical care to even more vulnerable Georgians in need of our services?
