A Message From Susan Hiers
Hello sweet friends, I hope everyone is safe and well. This COVID stuff stinks, eh? As such, I am a bit behind on my annual spring campaign to support Open Hand’s Dine IN for Life (formerly dine OUT for life). Two things: 1. If you are tired of eating toilet paper and are hankering to get take-out, here’s a way to support a local restaurant (see list of restaurants). This year, all proceeds go to the restaurant. My fave is Pasta da Pulcinella. 2. If you are still perfecting your quarantini while continuing to self-isolate, please consider donating to Open Hand. They’ve somehow managed to continue food delivery service to the vulnerable, God bless them. I appreciate your consideration. Susan
About This Campaign
We are refocusing our efforts on a virtual event in hopes of joining the community together to “Dine In” and do good for the generous restaurant partners that have supported Open Hand over the last three decades. Traditionally Dining Out for Life has included thousands of people who have dined out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner with a portion of sales benefitting Open Hand Atlanta. However, in the face of the challenges posed to the restaurant industry at this time, Open Hand will not be receiving a portion of this year's restaurant proceeds. So this year more than ever, we rely on you, our generous donors, to ensure that our clients – those most vulnerable to this virus – have the meals they need and the peace of mind knowing that we are still here for them during this time of crisis by making a donation directly to Open Hand.
RAFFLE! Your donation enters you into a drawing for a chance to win two round trip tickets on Southwest Airlines good for the next twelve months!
