Today, we cook, package and deliver 5,000 meals every day. Over time, our new campus will help increase our mission impact and triple our production as a state-of-the-art, community-based nutrition center with:
- A new teaching kitchen, allowing our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and Cooking Matters instructors to teach our clients how to prepare healthy meals.
- A new Culinary Workforce Development Program, providing at-risk members of the community access to job training and employment opportunities.
- A 100% increase in warehouse space that over time will enable us to cook, package, and deliver thousands more meals to our neighbors in need.
Throughout our history, we’ve helped people all across Metro Atlanta and the state of Georgia access medically tailored nutritious meals and nutrition education, allowing them to live healthier, happier lives with dignity. People like Mama T, who rely on our meals and value the love they bring with every smiling delivery.While we might be moving to a different building, we are still providing the same love, dignity and nutrition. Open Hand Atlanta delivers love, dignity and nutrition to neighbors in need in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. For 35 years, we have provided delicious, nourishing meals and nutrition education to thousands of people who are home-bound or too sick to cook for themselves. We’re honored to serve seniors, children and families, and our neighbors who are at risk for or have a disability or medical illness.
