Our generous partners at Buckhead Church come to Open Hand every year and ask us to dream big. They want to know not only “what would make a big difference for Open Hand?” but also “What would help Open Hand make a big difference? What would help Open Hand go further, faster?"This year, one of our asks was to help Open Hand address rising costs due to inflation. Increasing costs are threatening our ability to continue providing the high-quality, medically tailored meals our clients rely on. Funding support is crucial as we navigate these unstable economic times. But we know that together, we can ensure that nothing will stand in the way of providing care for those who need it most. We remain steadfast in our commitment to our clients - no matter what challenges lie ahead.Buckhead Church and their amazing congregation, through their annual Be Rich campaign, awarded Open Hand a $72,000 matching gift to address these rising costs. That means we have $72,000 to raise on our own before they award us this money. We need to get to work and, with your help, we are kicking off this match challenge! Open Hand delivers love, dignity and nutrition to neighbors in need in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. Since 1988, we have provided delicious, medically tailored meals and nutrition education to thousands of people who are home-bound or unable to cook for themselves. We’re honored to serve seniors, children and families, and our neighbors who are at risk for or have a disability or medical illness.
