Neighborhood Nights is Open Hand's newest community benefit involving the support of restaurants. Restaurants will give back a portion of sales proceeds to Open Hand on specific event days. It's about community coming together to support each other: neighbors supporting our local restaurant community, and our local restaurants supporting our neighbors in need, like Mr. Davis.
Mr. Davis relies on the meals provided by Open Hand for his daily nutrition. Living with hypertension and diabetes, the meals are tailored to his medical needs. Like many older adults, Mr. Davis navigates the challenges of aging and maintaining a special diet, making the role of our medically tailored meal delivery service even more crucial.
"I'm known for eating things I'm not supposed to," Mr. Davis admits, "but with Open Hand you know: 'This is what you eat to maintain a healthy diet.'"
Mr. Davis is just one of many—each meal we deliver supports someone in need, ensuring they receive nutritious food and a human connection that can make all the difference.
By dining out with us, you are helping people like Mr. Davis better manage their chronic health conditions. Our first installment of Neighborhood Nights in 2025 will be April 2nd on Atlanta's Westside. Restaurants such as Bold Monk Brewing, Forza Storico and Taqueria Del Sol will be partnering with Open Hand to help raise critical funds for our neighbors in need.
