I wanted to send a big thank you to Matt and Kayla for coming to my Psychology of Aging class at UGA and educating us about all of the amazing things you are doing at Open Hand, as well as how food can be medicine for seniors. I appreciate you making the trek to Athens and taking time out of your busy schedules to come speak to us. I had a lot of guest speakers this semester and you guys were definitely their favorite. We continually came back to your talk throughout the semester. For example, I had them do a final assignment where they re-designed the Psychology building at UGA to be an assisted living facility that took into consideration the holistic Biopsychosocial model of health and wellness, and many of them referenced how they would partner with Good Measure Meals to provide balanced nutrition to their hypothetical residents in their design presentations. Thanks again! -
